MBFW F/W 2011 – Wrap Up (Part 3)

Part 3/4

“Disco Daydreaming – Long & Lean”

Influences – A litany of designers chose to adore the fashion of the disco decade.  Fortunately, they all decided leave out rhinestones, platforms and Hot Pants from the repertoire.  Tory Burch, Richard Chia and Max Azria (to name a few) took the 70’s plunge

The Style – Largely recognized as continuation of S/S 2011 70’s inspired fashion, we saw uber-graphic prints, strong angles and lines play a huge role, but the masculine cuts and shapes for outerwear dominated the overall look.  Slacks were billowy, rest high on the waist and flare at the cuff.

The Look – Natural shine, long layer, slightly bend ends, natural dimension in the color with effortless wave
